Enemy in the Dark (Far Star Trilogy) by Jay Allan
5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining military Sci-Fi with a lot of action and a good plot!, February 23, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The governor of Far Stars is developing his plan to take over and dominate the Far Stars section of the Galaxy for the Empire. He is investing unlimited currency, advanced weapons and now developing his own army to gain control as quickly as possible. He is pitting planets against each other that are supposed to be allies and trying to start skirmish wars that will weaken the prime planets in the Far Stars so that his imperial forces will easily mop up the remaining military threat and gain control.

Marshal Lucerne and Arkarin Blackhawk think they can see the hidden strategy but don't have proof that the empire is behind the actions that are taking place. Lucerne has asked his friend Blackhawk to gather evidence to prove to the planets of Far Stars that the empire has their greedy eyes on them and they plan to take over or destroy any planet that stands in their way. Time is running short and only Blackhawk can uncover the imperial plot, that is if he survives and lives long enough to do so……

This series is gaining momentum and this second book is better than the first. Ark finally informs his crew and his girlfriend of his horrible past life and his background. I enjoyed this book and I will purchase and read the third book. I own and have read virtually all of Jay Alan's books and I am a fan of his writing. He is a good author and I like his high action books with a military Sci-Fi aspect. Jay integrates just enough technology to add to the story and makes it worth while and entertaining to read. I liked this book and I rated it at 5 stars.
