I just picked up 3 of these ammo can boxes and frankly I am going back to get more. I go to the range a lot and as a result I stock up on ammo and take some with me the the range. These are great ammo cans and I can fit 500 rounds of most ammo into the can, depending on the caliber and how the ammo is boxed. For example I can nicely stack 500 rounds of .223 ammo into the box when the ammo is boxed in 20 round boxes.
The cases are rugged and they tightly close. They stack nicely and they have a handle that folds down to allow easy stacking. These boxes are nice as they are rugged but lightweight and you can carry ammo with you to the range or into the field. I like that they hold as much ammo as they do and when I load them up they are easier to carry than the large ammo boxes. I fit 25 boxes of the .223 PMC range ammo and it fit perfectly into the box.
I purchased my ammo boxes at the local store and they are a great buy. I liked them so much that I purchased 3 and went back and got 3 more. The box is made of polypropylene and the box and the lid are corrosion resistant and water proof. The lid has a compressible gasket seal to help keep water out of the box. The lid has a set of holes to allow you to add a lock to the box it you so desire. The lid is well designed and it has support ribs on the inside to help support the weight of the items in the box while you carry it. The handle is curved and comfortable for carrying.
I would like to point out the the product description mentions that there is a hidden compartment in the lid of the box and there is not one on the box. Overall this is a good product and I recommend it for ammo or just general storage for items that you would like to keep clean and dry.
